LA Hairstylist Sascha Breuer Adds Homeless to Celebrity Client Roster

LA hairstylist Sascha Breuer was in New York City this week on behalf of one of his A-list clients attending the Met Gala — and no, he wouldn't say who it was (though I'm guessing Naomi Campbell).

But the day before the city’s premier red-carpet event, Breuer was downtown in Washington Square Park, cutting the hair of Abdul Ilboudo as part of his charitable organization and social movement, The Kind Cut, which brings haircuts to those unable to afford them in the streets, women's and homeless shelters, foster care centers, hospitals and other places.
Abdul, who had slept overnight on Coney Island Beach and had sand in his hair, was in a serious mood as Breuer worked. "My name means God’s wisdom," he said. "I am also the best dancer and partner in the city!"
And now he has a haircut to match, thanks to Breuer, a third-generation hairstylist, whose clients (besides Campbell) include Anne Hathaway, Hilary Swank, Keira Knightley, Shailene Woodley and Victoria Ingrid Alice Désirée, Crown Princess of Sweden.
"I'm hoping to inspire others to either join me in The Kind Cut movement or use their own skills to show kindness to others," Breuer says.  To see the hugs and smiles that Breuer’s “kind cuts” inspire, go to his website. The cost to attend the Met Ball? $30,000, and that’s just for the ticket. The cost to spread kindness among those in need? Now there’s something we can all afford.
